Adoption Celebration of 2 special boys

We were invited to join in the celebration of 2 special boys' adoption, by partying at Old MacDonald's Farm this past weekend. What better way to celebrate wtih little ones than at a petting zoo with a huge sand mountain to climb on and play in...
Lots of animals to pet

ring around the rosey....

pocket full of poseys...

And no, we didn't put them in a cage!

Cowboys & Cowgirls - Pony rides!

You can always find Maggie face to face with the animals

Huge sand mountain to climb and play on

C'mon Riyah - let's go!

Lots of other things to do - swing, tunnels

How sweet are these 2 friends?

Kiki just having fun in the hay!

The kiddos had so much fun together. So neat to see all their little personalities developing and their friendships flourishing. We are so thankful for Sariyah, Adrian, Tyger, Kiki and Momma J being a big part of our lives. And we couldn't be happier that Adrian & Tyger are officially Hattenbergers.  Happy Adoption Day boys. We sure do love you!!!

Spring has sprung!

After some miserably cold (for Houston anyway) winter weather....Spring has sprung and we are spending lots of time outdoors!

Maggie loves being outside. If she could live out there, she would.

Frisbee throwing

Checking out her new soccer goal

New pirate ship water table - seriously the best investment ever! Maggie can spend 2+ hours playing in this every day!

We have to enjoy these nice, cooler days while we can. Before we know, the horrific Houston heat will hit us and we'll need more than just a water table to keep us cool!

Zoo!

It was a beautiful day. Random thought hits Momma -- let's go to the zoo!
And that's exactly what the 2 of us girls did.

Maggie having a snack for "energy" for the day :)

She wanted to be the bird

In one of the caves in the African area

Checking out the map....preparing the journey

She took this very seriously

Oh how she loved banging on these drums

Merry-Go-Round ride is a must

No, this isn't a real Giraffe - but if it was, she still would've been on it!

Trying to pet the deer through the window

Yee-haw!!!

To say that Maggie loves animals is an understatement. She can't wait to touch them, pet them, get in their faces and have them lick her face (yuck!) and thankfully, she hasn't been bitten....yet....

Now, where to, Momma?

The monkeys were just mesmerizing

Pictures of some of the animals we saw:

We were actually at the zoo for over 4 hours. Couldn't believe how well she did. Maggie loved it and I'm glad that we were able to enjoy it before the heat of summer arrived.
