MIA

For those of you who don't know, I've been out of commission for almost 3 weeks now, due to illness. Started off as a migraine. Had allergic reaction to medication. Took steroids which kicked (unbeknownst to me) the walking pneumonia I had, which landed me in the ER on Nov. 7th. I was diagnosed with double pneumonia and while in the hospital contracted the MRSA staph infection in my blood and lungs. Needless to say, I was on sick momma. 14 days later I was finally released to recover at home. I've been home now 3 days and while it's been wonderful to be home and back with Michael & Maggie (I didn't see her for 14 whole days...talk about being hard on this momma and on my sweet baby girl!), it's also harder to recover at home. I feel pulled in so many directions, and yet, I honestly can't do anything. It's taking a lot for me to just post this. I guess that's what being laid up in a hospital for 14 days will do to you.

Would appreciate your prayers on my continued recovery. Drs have said that it will take longer than I will like for me to get back to 100%. I've been told to not over do it (I'm trying, REALLY I AM!) and to take it easy. I'm trying to take each day as it comes. I'm not sure when I'll be released to go back to work, or even to really get out in public. My immune system is so compromised right now, that I have to be extra careful.

Unfortunately, we'll miss Thanksgiving with the Crews crew this year, as I can't risk being around all the kiddos :( But thankfully, the 3 of us will be together and we're rejoicing in that.

Gotta go....running out of steam. Appreciate your continued prayers.

Love,

For Nana

Love you Nana!

Happy Halloween!

We joined our friends, Jocelyn and her kiddos (Adrian, Sariyah, Tiger & Kierra) at the TBC fall festival. I grew up @ TBC but haven't been back in years. It was fun to see a lot of old friends and familiar faces. It was actually a little strange to go back as a parent with a little one!

Maggie was a bumble bee this year and she loved it. She kept going around saying "buzz buzz". Too cute. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Buckets of candy; lots of fun with Tiger & Adrian
4 kiddos & a bucket of candy...fun or insanity?!

Maggie chasing Sariyah
Having lots of fun in the tunnels

Maggie definitely enjoyed this Halloween more than last year...and so did we :)
