Impromtu Play Date

It was MLK and the kids were out of school. At the last minute, I decided to take the day off and spend it with Maggie. We were going to have to be in the Woodlands for therapy, so I sent a text to my friend, Megan, to see if she and Cooper wanted to join us at Chik-Fil-A for lunch. Megan said she'd love to have lunch but they were at Hermann Park and could we join them there? Unfortunately, we weren't going to have time to go downtown and then get back to TW for therapy. Bummer. Then, the phone rings and therapy was cancelled for the day. So, I packed a quick lunch and Maggie and I headed down to Hermann Park to meet up with our friends.

It was a beautiful (but windy!) day to be outside and playing with friends. This age is so fun because they can truly entertain themselves and they had so much fun that we actually got to have quite a bit of adult conversation (yay!)

Picnic lunch. Train rides. Lots of playground time. Wonderful day spent with friends. Good times.

Maggie just adores Cooper. I'm glad that they enjoy each other's company.

Maggie & Cooper with their train tickets...they were just a little bit excited!

Easter Egg Hunt

Maggie and I picked up Maya & Isabela and headed out to TGR Exotics for their Easter Egg Hunt. We love this place. If you haven't been there, you really must go.  We normally go every year around Halloween for their pumpkin patch but this year, they had their first Easter egg hunt....and best part, it was FREE. Gotta love FREE!  We met up with our buddies and enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL day on the property...with very few people there (even better!)  I think they were expecting more people, because the kids came back with TONS of eggs.  They had so much fun, though, and there was plenty to go around.

Maya & Maggie waiting patiently for Momma J to hurry up and get here :)

Maggie can't help but get in this pony's face

Isabela & Maggie showing some love

Absolutely hilarious! Look at Isabela....she really thought those baby camels were coming to get her!
Again, no fear...of course, this was taken right before the camel nipped her ear!
 Chasing llamas
Most of our crew....what a bunch!
Maggie & Maya with the baby llama
Isabela & Maya with the Easter Bunny. Maggie would have nothing to do with him.
Adrian was the only brave soul from the H family
 She adores this cat
Sweet baby kangaroo.  The kids just loved her!
Maya & Maggie playing with the piglets (yes, very large baby pigs!)
 On your mark....get set.....go!

She came back with quite the loot...including 3 coupons for free entrance on zoo days - yay Maggie!
Now it was the older girls' turn...
 Maya
 Isabela
Are you kidding me?!  Now, that's what I call an Easter Egg hunt!

Another wonderful adventure full of great memories. Love our time with our sweet cousins and friends.

Adoption Celebration of 2 special boys

We were invited to join in the celebration of 2 special boys' adoption, by partying at Old MacDonald's Farm this past weekend. What better way to celebrate wtih little ones than at a petting zoo with a huge sand mountain to climb on and play in...
Lots of animals to pet

ring around the rosey....

pocket full of poseys...

And no, we didn't put them in a cage!

Cowboys & Cowgirls - Pony rides!

You can always find Maggie face to face with the animals

Huge sand mountain to climb and play on

C'mon Riyah - let's go!

Lots of other things to do - swing, tunnels

How sweet are these 2 friends?

Kiki just having fun in the hay!

The kiddos had so much fun together. So neat to see all their little personalities developing and their friendships flourishing. We are so thankful for Sariyah, Adrian, Tyger, Kiki and Momma J being a big part of our lives. And we couldn't be happier that Adrian & Tyger are officially Hattenbergers.  Happy Adoption Day boys. We sure do love you!!!
